There imprisoned dragon breaks free after a flash of bright light. In order to free the dragons, Spyro must step into the statues pedestal. Once the dragon is freed, it briefly talks to Spyro before disappearing. The trapped dragons struggle to free themselves as can be seen by the crystal statues rocking slightly. Spyro can free the dragon simply by touching the statue. It comes in three different flavors: Crystallized, Exclusive, and Standard. Every level has a few Dragon Statues, each containing an imprisoned dragon.
